Well, Hi! My name is Kristen and I am on the newer side of the Blogging World.

I am 24 25 years old and I live in Grand Rapids, MI with my husband Dorian. We got married this past September September of 2008. I am absolutely loving being married! People tell me to enjoy this time because it will pass. “It’s just a honeymoon stage”, they say. I am not sure if or how that will be proved, but I am enjoying the heck out of it while it’s here.

I graduated from Cornerstone University in 2006 with my B.A. in English and Mass Communications. I would love to get my Masters in Journalism. Right now, however, I am perfectly content with working my 8-5. I work at a cellular device company in the Property Department as the Lease Administrator. I really love my job.

I was introduced to the actual blogging world by Jen Lancaster’s blog and her books. From there, I discovered Dooce, Amalah, All & Sundry, and many more. Reading through these blogs has rekindled a passion for writing in me that i’d forgotten I have. I’d love to get to the point where writing, in some form, becomes my profession.

My personality in a laundry list looks something like this:

• I like things to be clean and organized.
• If you cry, i’ll cry…
• Tell me what you need done, and i’ll do it…
• I can be fiercely competitive.
• I don’t like who I become when i’m that competitive, so I shy away from alot of games.
• I am extremely protective of the people I love. Don’t mess with them. Please, thankyou.
• I love, love, love all things pink.
• A lot.
• 3 bullet points worth, at least.
• Well, 4…because I really love pink.
•  I thrive on relationships.
• I love food, alot…so the fat girl inside of me is frequently ticked off at the way I deprive her…
• I try to be tough, but that facade doesn’t last long when Dorian enters the picture.
• I love that man more than I know what to do with.
• I’m a thinker and an analyzer…
• I really love Vera Bradley purses and accessories.
• I am one of the crazies who actually enjoys running and working out.
• A perfect Saturday involves sleeping in to about 9:30am, going out to breakfast, running a few errands, window shopping, being outside, baking something scrumptious, watching a movie and cuddling with my husband…
• I could watch all 10 seasons of Friends straight through and still want to watch it some more.
• I think I am a pretty even combination of Rachel and Monica…almost an oxymoron…
• I encounter day to day life in terms of how I will blog about it.
• I love to cook/bake and am currently pining away for the Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer and many, many various cooking/baking instruments.
